If you are not inclined to travel by ferry there is an alternative option on offer. Departing from Napoli Central (Piazza Garibaldi) you take the Circumvesuviana regional train to Sorrento. The ticket costs €3.30. In Sorrento you must purchase a SITA bus ticket at the cost of €5.50. This ticket is valid for 24 hours and grants you access to the bus route that makes its way along the Amalfi Coast stopping at Positano and Praiano along the way. This route is ideal for those who suffer a fear of water or for those who wish to make a short tour on their way to the luxury of the Luna Convento Amalfi and Amalfi.
